Lava Rock

Gardeners and garden architects use lava rock for water retaining and decorative purposes. The stone can be placed on pathways for a colourful design effect or used as border decoration. Smaller lava rock can be used as mulch to avoid erosion and to collect water. These are good for fire pits and water features. Lava rock retains heat which keeps the soil warm like a blanket, making it an ideal bed for plants that are sensitive to temperature changes over the day/night cycle.
